The works of Alexandr Malinin seizes millions of listeners all over the world. Many features of the Russian nation characterize his style, noble and dignified. Understandable to all, his songs permanently etched in the treasury of world culture. On the 28th of March the artist will come to Prague with the only concert in Czech Republic. Aleksandr Malinin will present a delightful program of Russian Romances, which is a summary of his great achievements.

His adventure with music started in 1976 when he started to study in Performing Arts Studio at the National Philharmonic in Sverdlovsk. After graduating he was hired by the National Choir of Ural State as a vocalist.

However, the real Malinina career began in 1987 to perform at the rock festival in Moscow. His unusual version of the Russian romances “Black Crow” and “Driver, don’t rush the horses” made a great impression on the audience.

A year later he conquered the hearts of the jury on the TV contest of young artists Yurmala’88, who gave him the first prize. That confirmed the high class of Alexandr Malinina, who gained recognition among critics and the general audience. His other songs, among them Lieutenant Galicyn, Love and separation, Entertainment, Unnecessary words, Night, or Supplication – loved and twittered the whole nation. Songs gained such a popularity that permanently engraved in russian culture of singing. His first live performance programm „Aleksandr Malinin Ball“ in the spectacular Olympic Complex gathered 360 thousand people in 20 days and became teh best selling performance of 90’s! Since then Aleksandr Malinin’s balls (Stellar Ball, Easter Ball of My Soul, Christmas Ball etc) were hosted on the most presigious stages in Moscow, broadcasted not only in Russia but all over the world. Till today Alexander Malinin released 20 solo albums (including Lieutenant Galicyn, Ball, Damn nights, Banks), each of them was sold in millions of copies. For that incredible achievement he has been awarded with The World Music Award.

In 1989 he was awarded with the Lenin Komsomol Award. He decided to donate the whole amount of the prize to the Russian Orthodox Church to rebuild damaged churches. In 1991 he became an Honored Artist of Russia in 1997 - National Artist of Russia. Malinin is invited to the most popular television programs. His concerts are sold out not only in Russia but also in the USA, Europe or Australia.

For immigrants he is almost a part of the homeland and the embodiment of the spirit of Russian people. There are several movies about him and his career: Ballad of a singer, and Malinin - past and future. He doesn’t focus only on his singing career. To share his experience and help young talented singers with professional preparation and promote Russian culture – he created the School of Russian romance – Aleksandr Malinin’s Studio.

For his achievements he got the highest distinction the Russian artist can receive. His sculpted gold name appears on the Square of Stars at the State Central Concert Hall "Russia" in the same row with such figures of Russian stage, as A. Viertinskiy, L. Utyosov or K. Szulzhenko.

In 2003, Alexander Malinin began a new phase in his artistic career. For the first time he performed classical Russian romances on the stage of the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. This program won a stunning success and was presented several times in this prestigious location at the sold out auditorium - was thus regarded as a summary of many years of work as a study of the classical heritage of Russian musical culture.

And this program will be presented during a single concert in Prague, Alexander Malinin - on the 28th of March 2010 in Hybernia Theater.
