Makroconcert: the official agents of The Orchestra
Makroconcert, the leading concert promoter in the Eastern and Central Europe, became the official agent of legendary rock band The Orchestra (Former Members of ELO and ELO Part II). Makroconcert is the first in Lithuania to obtain the exclusive rights of representing the globally famous performers in Europe and in other countries of the world.
“This agreement is of key importance to us not only because we are the first in the Baltic States to be entrusted with the agency responsibilities by these world famous performers. It is important to our image and position in the market, and also it is a stimulus to our business and its evolvement into a new and highly challenging field. This agreement means the acknowledgement of our expertise, reliability and proficiency”, said Diana Miškinienė, Booking Manager at Makroconcert.
From now on, Makroconcert will take care about the planning of global tours of the group, promotion of their concerts in various countries of the world, representation and securing of their interests.
The music of the band is known all over the world for nearly four decades. They have introduced classical overtones to the rock music by the use of cellos, violas and the winds. The band members, the name of the group (ELO, ELO Part II, The Orchestra) were changing throughout the career of ‘Electrics’, but their music is well known and recognized all over the world up to our days. Their top hits like Mr Blue Sky, Ticket to the Moon, Roll Over Beethoven still enjoy unfading popularity. The leading members of the group Kelly Groucutt, Mik Kaminski, Phil Bates, Louis Clark, Gordon Townsend and Eric Troyer again successfully play, record, perform all over the world, organize sell-out concerts, and are loved an appreciated by their faithful audience.
The band has already performed in Lithuania and not only triggered good memories in the hearts of their fans, but also gave them an impressive performance a couple of years ago. They keep performing a lot and will come to Lithuania on the 20-21 of November to give two concerts in Vilnius and Kaunas. The shows are a part of the group’s tour which will continue to Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia.
Makroconcert is the largest promoter in Eastern and Central Europe, established in 1995, today successfully acting not only in Lithuania but also in Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic and Kaliningrad. Makroconcert organizes about 400 projects every year. Over the last few years Makroconcert has staged the performances of such outstanding artists as Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Seal, Billy Idol, Patricia Kaas, Vanessa Mae, Cesaria Evora, Robert Plant, Branford Marsalis, Vonda Shepard, Joe Cocker, David Copperfield, Chris Botti, Katie Melua, The Scorpions, and many more. Only during the last year, the events organized by Makroconcert attracted the audience of over one million. In future Makroconcert intends to represent more world-famous artists.
